I'm finished.

As of late Monday night, I am officially and completely done with student teaching.

As many of you may know, after finishing at my school, I needed to go back to campus to complete an e-portfolio and a mock interview. We met as a student teaching class on the 12th to review our e-portfolios and discuss the mock interviews on the 13th.

My interview consisted of me showing up 15 minutes early (as instructed) only to find the room empty. I waited near the door for awhile and slowly my interviewers arrived. One of which, was my advisor and professor. Knowing that she would be interviewing me put me off some, just because I knew how much she expected of me. Another interviewer was a music education teacher/professor/advisor. The last interviewer was a newly retired elementary principal from the same district that I just taught in.

The interview went fine--I'm just glad to have it over and to have had that experience. As stressful and anxiety-building as it was, it was very helpful. I know have some idea of what to expect in an interview and how to prepare.

At the end of the interview, they gave me some feedback. The verbal feedback that I received was incredibly helpful as well, though I'm still waiting on the written feedback. I wish that I would have received that before leaving campus, but I guess I'll just have to wait until I go back in January.

You can expect to see many posts coming in the next two weeks or so, as I am finally on winter break and will have time to post.
